Re-enchantment: The Way of Practice
Escape the chaos. Rediscover magic on Fuerteventura's volcanic island.
'Re-enchantment: The Way of Practice' Yoga Retreat:
a sanctuary to renew, reconnect, and reignite your connection to life as it always was - inherently beautiful, harmonious, and meaningful.
April 4th to 10th 2025
Why Should I Come on this Retreat?
My intention for holding yoga retreats is always the same: to share my passion for this practice and create a safe and nurturing environment where people can come together to learn, grow, and connect.
To make yoga more accessible to a wider audience, the retreat will incorporate various practices. This will be done with the goal of re-establishing one's connection to themselves and something greater, which is often missing from our current culture.
Our Four Pillars:
Intention & Dedication
This is down to you actually.
It’s important to ask yourself why would you come on this retreat in the first place? It might at first sound obvious - ‘I want a break’, ‘I want a holiday’ etc. - but an eternal truth to recognize is that how we do one thing is how we do everything.
So if tasks, adventures, relationships, journeys, jobs and words are all undertaken haphazardly, without conscious effort and attention then we can expect the outcomes of our endeavors to be of a similar nature.
If presence, dialogue and connection are aspects you want to bring into your life then we are here to facilitate that process.
Quality & Care
This our commitment to you.
We curate these experiences exactly for that: presence, dialogue and connection. We do this through our programme, activities & workshops. More importantly it’s through our commitment to quality and our ability to be sensitive that ensures that you will not only feel looked after while with us but that we can remain lifelong friends after.
I teach every individual based on where they’re at and what they need. Despite the altruistic nature of Yoga and despite what people tell you, Yoga is a path that needs to be concerned with the betterment of the individual so that this effect ripples outward.
I will teach you how to breath better, move better and come into deeper contact with yourself physically and biologically through mobility, bodywork and anatomy if that’s what you need or subtly & emotionally through energetic practices & contemplation exercises if that’s your calling.
Hatha: Longer holds, a steady approach and calm application, Hatha imbues the principles of upward moving energy (prana) and downward moving energy (apana) in the body so that that attention is less scattered and more focused.
Yin: Surrendering to stillness and nourishing the subtle body through long holds, meditation and contemplation as you traverse your experience of any given pose.
Somatic: Re-education of the nervous system and exploration of the embodied mind through conscious movement.
What We’ll Do Daily
Complementary Practices
Chanting: if you’re scientifically minded - toning the Vagus Nerve, if you’re another way inclined, you’re joining in with the eternal sounds that have been made for millennia. Either way, this is a potent tool for that monkey-mind.
Practice Prompts & Journalling: infuse your asana with meaning. My practice prompts aim to inspire your practice and have come from my own experiences. Journalling is a way to consolidate everything as it appears during your time here.
Satsang: a coming together of people is so much more than words, yet through an open exploration of life’s eternal questions we learn and grow together toward a better understanding of all of THIS.
Integration
Yoga is a time tested process. We cultivate our spiritual progress and allow things to take root in our body, mind and hearts through these practices and methods.
Star Gazing: Embark on a journey of exploration, where we traverse both the outer cosmos and the depths of our inner worlds. Under the vast desert sky, we’ll have telescopes and laser pointer observations. Wrapped in rugs and blankets, we delve into the mysteries of the universe with experienced Star Guides leading the way.
Sound Healing : Cultivating inner awareness, expanding consciousness, and meeting dormant emotions with this 90 minute multi-faceted sonic journey.
Breathwork Journey & Yoga Nidra: This session will incorporate the act of consciously connecting to your breath. These techniques will take you out of the normal habituation of mind and allow you to drop into your subconscious with the aid of a Yoga Nidra session after.
Hiking: A sunrise hike, connecting with nature, attuning the senses, and finding stillness within movement.
Special Activities
Cuisine
We believe in the alchemy of food and the profound impact it has on our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
As the direct intermediary between human and spirit, food carries the essence of the earth and the energy of those who grow, prepare, and consume it.
Therefore, we approach food with great care and intention, ensuring that it is nourishing, fresh, and primarily vegetarian and vegan. For those who choose, there will be one optional fish evening.
Awaken your senses with our daily breakfast buffet featuring the freshest local produce, cereals, bread, and a range of plant-based options.
Our evening meal is a celebration of quality ingredients and culinary artistry, served with love and passion, colour and fire, crafted to nourish your body and soul.
As a revitalising midday treat, we offer creative, colourful and bountiful treats that will entice your taste buds and arouse your energy.
May our meals together be a celebration of the abundance and vitality of life.

“I am writing this over a month after returning home and what's struck me most is how much the practices and intentions I learnt on the retreat have continued to stay with me and improve my "real" life.
This isn't just a chance to do yoga in a sunny, beautiful villa (although it is that!): it's also a chance to really look inward, take stock of life, and move forward with clarity and purpose. I now feel calmer, more present, and much more aligned with how to live in accordance with my values.
Robbie and Vanessa are both incredibly warm, caring and special people, and they effortlessly cultivated an atmosphere of trust, sharing and growth. I came away from the week with a much clearer sense of what brings me contentment and fulfillment, and that is priceless.”
Aisling, 32
“Yoga with Robbie is not just about intentional movement, it is about expanding the practice beyond the mat and into your life to make you overall a better human being.
You will not just learn about the tools of yoga like asana, chanting, pranayama, you will deepen your relationship with yourself.
I feel so grateful to be a student of Robbie’s, and can highly recommend anyone to join his classes or gifting yourself time at a retreat.
I will cherish the memories and learnings I gained from my retreat for a lifetime”
