What’s It All About?

This is the question we all at one stage or another ask ourselves.

Yoga found me during a time of deep struggle, and it has been my anchor ever since. My journey has taken me from London to India, Spain to Portugal, where I've studied a wide range of styles and disciplines.

Each step of the way has deepened my understanding of the practice and its transformative power. From the precision of Iyengar to the illuminating pillars of Sivananda, each has left an indelible mark on my teaching approach.

But it was my time in Portugal that truly opened my eyes to the magic of somatics, a practice that turns technique and precision on its head in favor of awakening deeply embedded cellular memory. It's a form that has forever altered my trajectory.

In my teaching, I strive to share the broader, larger, and most importantly, helpful aspects of the Yogic corpus. I want to provide my students with the tools to go deeper within themselves while also helping them transcend the limitations of their physical bodies and the constraints of our current epoch.

As a massage therapist and bodyworker, I believe that the practice of yoga is more than just a physical discipline. It's a way to anchor ourselves in a world that is constantly changing, to find peace and tranquility in the midst of chaos.

However - I do also believe that a refinement of technique within the physical body is needed for an expansion of consciousness which is why I’m also very passionate about helping and healing people through training and mobility work too which I primarily do through the FRC system.

I'm passionate about sharing this practice with others and walking this path together.

I am currently based in Fuerteventura, Canary Islands with my partner Vanessa where we run transformational Yoga & Wellness Retreats. Do say hi or come to a class next time your on this magical island. (You can also find me on bookretreats.com).

“I really enjoyed Robbie’s inward-oriented, slow but strengthening group classes a lot, which is why I asked for a 1:1 session followed by a massage. Robbie helped me with some useful postures and tips to be incorporated in my personal practice to release some lower back sensation I had. I found the massage deeply relaxing and healing. On top of all that Robbie’s a great guy to be around with a really beautiful energy. If you have the chance: go yoga with him ”
