Why Should I Come on this Retreat?
Intention & Dedication
Embodiment & Somatic work have become buzzwords in recent times, and as always with trends, their essence can become clouded with ambiguity.
It’s important to note that when we see somebody performing great acts of physical prowess - think handstands, splits & contortion - our culture has created a framework where this demonstrates ‘embodiment’. Yet whilst somebody can be embodied in this way, the fundamental thing to note is that being embodied does not involve the influence of mind.
In other words, if you are trying to make your body conform to mental representations of what embodiment ‘looks like’, then we are indeed moving away from embodiment by further integrating the power of the mind and it’s sway over how we behave as well as feel about ourselves and the world.
If you are keen to understand the relationship between cognition and embodiment then you’re going to love these explorative practices.
Furthermore if presence, dialogue and connection are aspects you want to bring into your life then we are here to facilitate that process. (You can also find us on BookRetreats.com).
Quality & Care
Our commitment to you.
We curate these experiences exactly for that: presence, dialogue and connection. We have a commitment to ensure that you will not only feel looked after while with us but that we can remain lifelong friends after.
I teach every individual based on where they’re at and what they need. Despite the altruistic nature of Yoga, we must remember that it is equally a path that is concerned with the betterment of the individual.
With that in mind I aim to teach you how to breath better, move better and come into deeper contact with yourself physically, emotionally and mentally through the lens of Somatic work alongside the rich and vast tapestry of the Yogic tradition.
Our food offerings are exquisite. Packed with nutrition and flavour there is no room for bland displays of colour for the sake of a good photo. All of the food is thought out and designed to nourish you, educate your body about various flavour complexes and allow you to sample food and feasts you never tried before.
See what others have said about their experiences…

“I've been to a few yoga retreats over the years and none had such a positive lasting impact as this one. Robbie created a safe, calm and nurturing environment from the moment I arrived.
His passion for yoga and somatics is something he seems to carry through to the everyday in his interactions too. It felt inclusive and genuine throughout the weekend with engaging and real conversations.
I was comfortable in the yoga & somatic practices as Robbie supported and encouraged our own pace and level without any feeling of comparison or judgement. Vanessa's cooking was truly nurturing and inspiring with plenty of choices for everyone. Their commitment to quality is obvious in how they plan out the weekend and look after everyone.”

“I attended Robbie’s weekend Somatic Yoga retreat in Co Wicklow, Ireland in August 2024. I was recommended this retreat by a friend and it turned out to be a wonderful fit for me.
As someone who has been practicing yoga for a long time and has attended many yoga retreats over the years, I can safely say this was one of the best I’ve participated in. Robbie is highly knowledgeable in his yoga teaching and manages to create a safe and nurturing space with ease. I especially enjoyed the Kirtan sessions at the end of each class and the camp fires each night. Both the ambiance and food were also second to none.
Vanessa is a wonderful cook who draws on many culinary traditions for her creations, including ayurvedic principles. She treated us to wonderful buffets of nourishing vegan and vegetarian and food throughout. I’ve come back from the weekend feeling relaxed, centered and with a renewed vigour for my yoga practice.”
