Why Come?
This yoga retreat in Fuerteventura invites practitioners and yoga teachers to explore yoga beyond the postures through various embodiment practices, meditation, philosophy, and shared inquiry in a supportive and reflective environment.
My intention in holding yoga retreats is simple: to share my passion for this practice and to create a safe and nurturing environment where people can come together to learn, grow, and connect.
Mornings begin slowly with meditation and movement, followed by time to reflect, walk, swim, or simply sit with a coffee in the quiet volcanic landscape before gathering again for practice and conversation.
We reconnect with ourselves and with something deeper that is often lost in the pace of modern life.
At the heart of the retreat are a few guiding principles.
Intention & Dedication
This begins with you.
Before coming on retreat it’s worth asking yourself: why am I coming?
At first the answers may seem simple - a break, a holiday, a change of environment. But an old truth remains: how we do one thing is how we do everything.
If we approach our lives without attention or care, our experiences tend to reflect that. But when we bring presence and intention, something very different becomes possible.
Over the days we explore practice together through movement, meditation, conversation, and quiet time in nature. Slowly, space opens for presence, dialogue, and connection to return in a very natural way.
Quality & Care
This is our commitment to you.
We curate these retreats with care so that you feel supported, welcomed, and free to explore your practice at your own pace.
Yoga is not a one-size-fits-all path. Each person arrives with different needs, experiences, and curiosities. My role as a teacher is to meet you where you are.
For some this may mean learning how to breathe and move with more ease through mobility, anatomy, and body awareness. For others it may mean exploring more subtle practices through meditation, contemplation, and inquiry.
Either way, the intention is the same: to help you come into deeper contact with yourself — physically, emotionally, and mentally — so that the benefits of practice ripple naturally into the rest of your life.
The Outcome?
By the end of the week, people often notice something simple but meaningful: their breath is deeper, their body feels lighter, and their mind a little quieter.
Alongside this, something else begins to shift and that is a clearer sense of what actually matters.
Many leave feeling more connected to themselves, more aligned with their values, and quietly inspired to live with a little more care and intention, even in a world that can sometimes feel overwhelming.
Hatha: Longer holds, a steady approach and calm application, Hatha imbues the principles of upward moving energy (prana) and downward moving energy (apana) in the body so that that attention is less scattered and more focused.
Yin: Surrendering to stillness and nourishing the subtle body through long holds, meditation and contemplation as you traverse your experience of any given pose.
Somatic: Re-education of the nervous system and exploration of the embodied mind through conscious movement.
What We’ll Do Daily
Complementary Practices
Chanting: if you’re scientifically minded - toning the Vagus Nerve, if you’re another way inclined, you’re joining in with the eternal sounds that have been made for millennia. Either way, this is a potent tool for that monkey-mind.
Practice Prompts & Journalling: infuse your asana with meaning. My practice prompts aim to inspire your practice and have come from my own experiences. Journalling is a way to consolidate everything as it appears during your time here.
Satsang: a coming together of people is so much more than words, yet through an open exploration of life’s eternal questions we learn and grow together toward a better understanding of all of THIS.
Silence & Daily Digital Detox: we will participate in a nightly digital detox where all phones & ipads will be safely stored away for the evening. This will be accompanied by silence. The adverse effects of both technology as well as the benefits of silent time are much too many to detail here, however this a very important aspect of the programme that we have incorporated in order to give your nervous system a much needed re-calibration and rest. If this will not be an option for you, please do not apply to partake in the retreat.
Integration
Yoga is a time tested process. We cultivate our spiritual progress and allow things to take root in our body, mind and hearts through these practices and methods.
Private Boat Cruise: Two hours to be completely immersed in these pristine waters, journeying to neighbouring Isla de Lobos for swimming, snorkelling and total serenity.
Sound Healing : Cultivating inner awareness, expanding consciousness, and meeting dormant emotions with this 90 minute multi-faceted sonic journey.
Breathwork Journey & Yoga Nidra: This session will incorporate the act of consciously connecting to your breath. These techniques will take you out of the normal habituation of mind and allow you to drop into your subconscious with the aid of a Yoga Nidra session after.
Hiking: A sunrise hike, connecting with nature, attuning the senses, and finding stillness within movement.

Christine, 39
“I am writing this over a month after returning home and what's struck me most is how much the practices and intentions I learnt on the retreat have continued to stay with me and improve my "real" life.
This isn't just a chance to do yoga in a sunny, beautiful villa (although it is that!): it's also a chance to really look inward, take stock of life, and move forward with clarity and purpose. I now feel calmer, more present, and much more aligned with how to live in accordance with my values.
Robbie and Vanessa are both incredibly warm, caring and special people, and they effortlessly cultivated an atmosphere of trust, sharing and growth. I came away from the week with a much clearer sense of what brings me contentment and fulfillment, and that is priceless.”
Aisling, 32
“Yoga with Robbie is not just about intentional movement, it is about expanding the practice beyond the mat and into your life to make you overall a better human being.
You will not just learn about the tools of yoga like asana, chanting, pranayama, you will deepen your relationship with yourself.
I feel so grateful to be a student of Robbie’s, and can highly recommend anyone to join his classes or gifting yourself time at a retreat.
I will cherish the memories and learnings I gained from my retreat for a lifetime”
